Governor Erhlich isn't going to take it any more

Maryland, my home state, has its first Republican governor in 36 years. The Baltimore Sun remains as leftist as ever, though -- and Ehrlich's decided to completely freeze out the Sun's reporters. I have a feeling this isn't the best way to go about things.

Ehrlich and some Md. Democrats support medical marijuana, BTW.

I don't know too much about the MD dems, but Marco and I had the opportunity to hang out with former MD Delegate Don Murphy, who is now chairman of the medical marijuana group Republicans for Compassionate Access, who works his ass off as a lobbyist for the Marijuana Policy Project (and also as a lobbyist for nudists around the country). Definitely my kinda Republican.

Another great political tip from Delegate Murphy:

Sometimes, you're not going to convince people to agree with you. But you can help yourself a lot by convincing them to keep quiet about their opposition. (A tactic he employed in the MD medical marijuana fight.)
